About Chalk.
Chalk is a native macOS drawing app built for the "just one quick sketch" moment. No accounts, no tabs to manage, no publish-and-share flow — just a fast, distraction-free space to think on screen and copy the result into wherever you're already working.
The app is local-first: every board lives as a file in your library, autosaved as you draw. Nothing leaves your Mac unless you ask it to. The optional AI features run through your own Claude or Cursor subscription via MCP — Chalk doesn't host an AI service or proxy your prompts.
Chalk is made by AppKit Studio, an independent shop building focused native macOS apps. We don't have investors, ad revenue, or a "growth team" — Pro license sales fund the next version.
