Privacy Policy.

Your sketches stay on your Mac.

Every board you draw is saved as a file on your machine under ~/Library/Application Support/studio.appkit.chalk/. Chalk does not upload, sync, mirror, or transmit your sketches to any server.

What the app sends back.

Two things, both narrow in scope:

• Crash reports via Sentry. When the app crashes, a stack trace plus the app version and macOS version is sent to our Sentry account so we can fix the bug. Crash reports do not contain your sketches, board contents, file names, or any personally identifying information.
• Update checks. The app periodically requests chalk.appkit.studio/updates/latest.json to see if a new version is available. This request hits Cloudflare's logs the same way any web request does (IP address, User-Agent). We don't store or analyze those logs.

AI features (optional).

Chalk integrates with AI assistants like Claude and Cursor through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). When you ask Claude (or another MCP client) to generate a diagram, your prompt is sent to that AI provider under your own account and subscription. Chalk does not proxy AI requests through our servers and does not see your prompts.

Chalk Pro (when it launches).

Chalk Pro will be sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record and handles payment, billing, and any required sales tax. Their privacy policy covers what they collect during checkout. We receive your license key and email from them so we can deliver and validate the license — we don't see your card.

This website.

chalk.appkit.studio is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. There is no analytics script, no third-party tracker, no cookie consent banner because we don't set any non-essential cookies.
